Alliance Behavioral Psychiatry

Alliance Behavioral Psychiatry is a leading outpatient psychiatric mental health clinic located in Orem and Lehi, Utah. Founded by psychiatrist David Paulson, MD, and staffed with Traci Naylor, APRN, PMHNP; Mekenzie Cooper, APRN, PMHNP; Rebecca Harvey, APRN, PMHNP; Joel Covington, APRN, PMHNP; Dan Muster, APRN, PMHNP, Corrine Freeman, APRN, PMHNP, Brooke Merrill, APRN, PMHNP; and Karina McDonald, APRN, PMHNP, the practice’s philosophy states that patients receive the best care when they have strong alliances with their providers.

The team is committed to making each patient feel welcome and valued as they navigate mental health care.

Patients at Alliance Behavioral Psychiatry are invited to come in for an initial visit, which lasts for around 90 minutes.

During this time, the team reviews the patient’s medical history as well as current symptoms. They can help determine the patient's need for medication to treat their mental health condition, and they provide ongoing medication management incorporated with supportive therapy.

Where helpful, patients can also receive pharmacogenetic testing, which may guide their providers to medications that work well with their genetic makeup.

Individuals ages 10 and older get individualized, attentive care from the providers at Alliance Behavioral Psychiatry. The team specializes in diagnosing and managing ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, and a range of anxiety disorders.

Most care plans involve primarily in-person visits, but telepsychiatry is also available for patient convenience. The team provides medication management and limited psychotherapy services as well as lifestyle recommendations for numerous psychiatric conditions.

Our Mission & Our Practice

We are a traditional psychiatry practice.

We believe that psychotherapy in combination with medication is highly effective.

We believe that an alliance between the provider and patient is critical for progress.

We are committed to doing our part to establish this alliance, including listening carefully and seeking to understand each patient’s perspective. This alliance is also vital for meaningful discussions of core issues and treatment options to take place.

Our goal for each patient is full restoration of functioning and remission of symptoms.

We know that problems are typically multifaceted and complex with biological, psychological, social and spiritual aspects.
